Marble City Masters

Our club was created to bring water polo players together, no matter their athletic goal. MC Hammers is the 18+ coed team that practices weekly at Pilot Family YMCA in West Knoxville. We are adults, with lives and responsibilities, but every week we take some time to play hard and have fun.

 

Most of our team members are previous players, but don't be worried if you've never played, or if you haven't played in 20 years. We want the sport to grow, and in order to do that we encourage interested athletes of all skill levels to join. We strive for versatility at practices to accommodate both experienced and new players by focusing on individual skills as well as team strategy.

Practices from December through May are every Wednesday from 6-8pm, then in June we'll switch back to Fridays from 6-8pm. Any changes in the schedule will be communicated to team members via the GroupMe app. The Pilot Family YMCA has been gracious enough to be a home to Marble City Water Polo, and Masters will claim the indoor pool on Friday evenings for the foreseeable future. Dues are $50 per month, with a discount for paying for a year in full. Pick your payment option after you complete your registration; new players are welcome to try up to 2 weeks at no charge by selecting the Trial Membership. Player interest will determine tournament entry, and costs are not included in membership dues.

 

All athletes must fill out the registration form before hopping in the pool.

Athletes should bring a swimsuit, towel, and water to each practice. Locker rooms are available. All team members are required to have a valid American Water Polo (AWP) registration (with ID number). To register, go to www.americanwaterpolo.org.
